About this ebook

A garden designer who buries her true feelings is about to discover how friendship can blossom into something more in this “sweet and sexy” romance (Booklist).

Love has never been a priority for garden designer Frankie Cole. After witnessing the fallout of her parents’ divorce, she’s seen the devastation an overload of emotion can cause. The only man she feels comfortable with is her friend Matt—but that’s strictly platonic. If only she found it easier to ignore the way he makes her heart race . . .

Matt Walker has loved Frankie for years. But sensing how fragile she is beneath her feisty exterior, he’s always played it cool. Now, as he uncovers new depths to the girl he’s known forever, he doesn’t want to wait a moment longer. He’s determined to prove that she can trust him with her heart, and finally kiss her under the Manhattan sunset.

While I always enjoy the friends to lovers stories, I would put this one towards the top of my list. It is sweet, romantic, sexy and witty. Matt has had a thing for Frankie, one of his sister's best friends and business partners, for years. They grew up together and he thinks he knows her pretty well. But when he realizes that he doesn't know the "real" her, he decides that he is going too and won't take no for an answer. Frankie is a strong and independent woman, who has put up walls when it comes to relationships, even with her best friends. There are things that happened in her life when she was young that she hasn't told anyone, even her best friends, and are the cause of her emotional distance and trust issues. When Matt and Frankie take things to the next level, it is sexy and hot, while being sweet. She finds herself opening up to Matt in ways she would have never imagined. She tells him her deep, dark secrets without even thinking about it. Matt treats her so loving, while trying to be patient, knowing she needs time to accept their relationship. He is showing her that true love does exist and that it can last when the two people trust each other and in the love that they share. Anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. Knowing Eva is the romantic of the group, I know it will be amazing.
