I enjoyed this book but I was really hoping for more magic and mayhem from the main characters. I loved Aunt Polly butfor some reason I really had misgivings about her through the whole book. The premis of the book is intriguing and the author did a great job of giving us a mystery to solve (I never saw it coming). The children of Marigold did not have an easy upbringing but it looks like things my be changing for them. Read the book. I am off to download book two.

4 Star review of Better Haunts & Garden Gnomes by Michelle M Pillow Audio Review: Michelle M Pillow is a relatively new author to me as is the narrator B.J. Harrison. This is a cozy mystery which was fun and entertaining. I found the narration enjoyable and easy to listen too. His voices were good and he brought the story to life for me and enhanced my enjoyment. It wouldn’t be a cozy mystery without some suspense and drama. Lily Goode hopes her luck has finally changed after inheriting a house from her estranged mother. However, strange accidents start to occur and Lily soon believes danger is coming. The secondary characters including her brother Dante, were just as engaging, particularly Aunt Polly who had me cracking up at times. A fun quick read with a few surprising twists and with enough clues to satisfy my inner detective spirit.
