About this ebook

When four members of one family-owned corporation are kidnapped off the streets in Honolulu, Gavin’s intel says this is a corporate espionage case … but is it?

There’s not much to like about this case. Too many people are involved, … including an old friend of Gavin’s. But, as Gavin digs deeper into the motives of the suspect pool, events get uglier, and bodies start to fall.

Rosalina has no idea how she ended up in this nightmare, but all she cares about is her ailing parents who have been separated from her and her sister. Even when she and her sister are freed, Rosalina finds no sign of their mother or father. Trying to rescue them means deciphering friend from foe …

It comes down to the wire as this close family corporation falls apart, revealing the core of darkness inside, … and leaves Gavin and Rosalina struggling to stay safe as enemies work to take out them both.

The story started off okay, four kidnapped persons and the Mavericks led this time by Gavin to the rescue. There isn't enough detail, somehow it feels that important facts get lost and, the results in the story being a little disjointed. The conversations Rosalina has with the gunmen pointing guns at her are interesting. The kidnapped parents are eventually found on the property Gavin and Shane were searching yet not by them. The real reason for the kidnapping, is revealed in the final chapter. Having said that the ending seems to be a cliffhanger and leaves one thinking there has to be another instalment, where things are cleared up and clarified. Not a difficult read by no means.

I always like a light easy-to-read page-turner books, and this book definitely one of them, therefore I really like it, considering I devoured it in just a few hours. It was started with kidnapping then everything getting more and more interesting and full of actions since then, yup lots of actions going on here. As for the couple, even though the sparks between Rosaline and Gavin is not as much as I wanted and not as much as the couples in the previous books, I still adore these two, they're just perfect for each other. As for the story, it's kinda predictable to me and some parts got me questioning why and still didn't get the answers, but knowing the suspects got what they're deserve in the end, I felt nothing but satisfaction when the book finished. Great actions, good story, cute couple, yup definitely a MUST-READ one for a light suspense romance lovers.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. This was an interesting book for the most part. Gavin and Shane head to Hawaii. A family of four were kidnapped on their way back to their hotel from dinner. When Gavin and Shane land in Hawaii, (they took helicopters between navy ships), they are met by Steve who is engaged with the oldest daughter. Steve is also a friend of Gavin's Rosalina wakes up in a windowless room with her sister, Melinda. Melinda is gagged but Rosalina is not. Rosalina is able to get out of her bindings and free her sister. They were able to escape from the location and call for help. Steve arrives with Gavin and Shane. Steve takes Melinda back to the hotel while Gavin and Shane meet and interview Rosalina. The questions of who, what and why along with where are the parents need to be answered to discover the plot and the reasoning behind the kidnapping. The book is written in a dual POV format. This is my preferred format as I can connect with the characters and understand them and relate to them better. There was a sexy scene in this book so I would not be able to recommend this to anyone under the age of 18.
