I believe that the time is the currency higher than any other, as spent time cannot be replaced. It is spent. With that in mind, I truly appreciate the fact that each one of you spent freely and voluntarily to educate anyone who is open to reading, created the book and then decided to share it with everyone at no cost and had additional zoom session for anyone interested. There are a lot of managers/directors/execs but there are only few mentors and having 21 of them not only sharing the knowledge but also positivity and unity. We need more of this, and less of the other BS. I truly hope that more folks in leadership position will remove their blinders and join you in this cause. The book is easy to read. it has great points of views, but the thing that got my attention is also adding your human side into the mix without pretense of perfection. Very refreshing and in my humble opinion, one of those honest books, where you can actually believe the contributors. Thank you!

Loved this compilation of real world advice from an incredible group of cybersecurity though leaders. While the focus of each chapter is different, the common theme is that there is no silver bullet when it comes to cybersecurity and focusing on basic blocking and tackling while partnering with the rest of the business is the only path to success. One cool feature of the format is that you can jump in and read any chapter without missing any context. Kudos to everyone involved in this project!

Back to Basics teaches cybersecurity essentials and core philosophies without making the reader feel like they are reading tough material. Walking through the experiences of these leaders in a q&a format is an easy and effective way to learn. And it is easy to read chapters in any random order so you can grab the book and get something out of it.
