About this ebook

Being a priestess for the goddess of truth and justice is not for the faint-hearted.

Taia always thought she and fellow Ma'at Blessed priest, Metjen, were inseparable. When he starts avoiding her, she questions whether their bond is as strong as she thought it was.

A big festival to celebrate the temples in London comes with a test of Taia's devotion and the goddess of truth and justice is not one to displease.

Can Taia and Metjen figure out what's causing the problems between them before they risk losing the blessing of their goddess?

I love this short story! This is a fantasy, sweet romance set in an alternate Earth, with a cute plot line. There's plenty of drama and a dash of suspense to keep things interesting. Plus, there's all the Ancient Egyptian stuff that I can't get enough of. It works as a stand alone, but I'm intrigued and will be reading the rest of the series. I especially like how Taia (the FMC) deals with her ability to detect truths and lies and how it impacts her relationships.

This is a fantastic, engaging, entertaining & fun 🤩 story to read. I found Taia very entertaining, she is confused and unsure about how she feels for Metjen and what he feels for her. I love her joyful delight when she makes friends with Ani the Blessed of Anubis. Taia & Metjen are a Ma’at Blessed pair that live & work together in the Temple of Ma’at. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is Taia and Metjen's story, a Blessed pair in Ma'at's temple. As Ma'at's Blessed, Taia has a hard time making friends, because others are scared that she'll be able to detect when they are lying. Unfortunately, she feels very lonely when her partner, Metjen, begins acting oddly around her, and she has no idea why and no one to confide in. This is a sweet story about learning to love, and learning to believe in yourself. I received an ARC copy but this is solely my own opinion.
