About this ebook

In the realm of very scary faeries, no one is safe.

Sixteen-year-old Kaye is a modern nomad. Fierce and independent, she travels from city to city with her mother's rock band until an ominous attack forces the sixteen-year-old back to her childhood home. There, amid the industrial, blue-collar New Jersey backdrop, Kaye soon finds herself an unwilling pawn in an ancient power struggle between two rival faerie kingdoms—a struggle that could very well mean her death.

Holly Black's enormously powerful voice weaves teen angst, riveting romance, and capriciously diabolical faerie folk into an enthralling, engaging, altogether original reading experience.

Holly Black is a fantastic writer, retelling the world of Faerie in a dark and twisted manner. Her work rests alongside great authors like Michael Swanwick and RA Salvatore. This book is among the best I've had the pleasure to read, even after my 3rd time reading through it

The cover was the first thing to catch my eye then the title. I love the dynamic between Kate and Roiben as well as Cornelius. Ironside is the book that comes right after where this one left off I want to get it!

To those who say this book wasn't a good read, or that it was just awful, it seems people have lack of taste and open mind. It was wonderful, and Black is an astounding writer. I love her works and will continue to read more!
