This is a quirky second chance romance and was just plain fun! Caitlin and Jonas used to have a friends with benefits relationship until Jonas wanted more and Caitlin freaked and put an end to it and they had to go back to only friends or nothing. Now she is helping out her friend by beta testing a new app which promises to find true love in 28 dates, yea, she is not buying it since she doesn't believe in love. But she may have already met the one...Now she is having dates in Jonas' bar and he is witnessing it and now he has to figure out how to slip in and be one of her dates. Can he and will he finally be more than friends? This was a quick read but a fun one. **Received this ARC for review from the publisher via NetGalley**

I’ve been a fan of the author since reading Fake Wife. So I was excited to get back into the Crazy Love world! 28 Dates was a refreshing read! It’s takes the classic scenario of a friends-with-benefits relationship, where the man usually has the fear of commitment, and reverses the roles. So when Jonas steps up and asks Caitlin for more, fear takes hold and she ends their once easy and uncomplicated relationship. This book was a sweet and emotional love story that makes you open your eyes to what’s right in front of you. While the story has plenty of hilarious dialogue and disastrous dates (i.e. toe guy….ew!), thanks in part to Caitlin’s boss coercing her into testing his new dating app, it was the interactions between Caitlin and Jonas that really tugged at my heartstrings. The chemistry between them may not have burned through the pages all the time, but it was always there—simmering and building with every interaction or tender moment or affectionate gesture they shared. The heart wants what the heart wants, and this story clearly shows that no matter how hard you try or do whatever it takes to move on, the heart can’t and won’t let go. I really enjoyed this book. As stated before, it didn’t contain as much steam as the previous books in the series. But where the story may have lacked in heat, it made up for with its emotional struggles each character endured. Even though it isn’t necessary to read the previous books, I highly recommend starting from the very beginning of the series. The author’s writing was wonderful, as always, with a relatable story line and narrative that blended nicely.

A very enjoyable story. 28 Days by Stacey Lynn was good, but not quite what I’ve come to expect from her. Jonas and Caitlin have had a FWB affair for over two years and everything was fine, until Jonas decied he wanted to be a real couple. Caitlin is a commitment-phobe due to her past, and instead of embracing Jonas’ wishes she pushes him away, so far and so badly, he ends things. Caitlin finds herself alone and her app tech boss talks her into testing out his latest design. A dating app, of all things! She’s set to go on 28 dates to find her soulmate. But, he’s been waiting in the sidelines all along. So, now she’s out there in the real world meeting the creepy guys, the liars and maybe, just maybe the nice ones too. When Jonas discovers what’s happening, he takes matters into his own hands. If Caitlin is ready to date, then there’s only one guy for her. Him. he’s loved her for years, she just needs to open her eyes and see him. Who will she pick? Will she see the truth before it’s too late?
