About this ebook

A steamy new adult hockey romance packed with a bad boy alpha hero, a feisty heroine who won't put up with BS, and steamy, enemies-to-lovers romance you won't want to put down!

In the high-stakes world of professional hockey, the heart plays harder than a power play.

Harper Crawford, a tenacious sports blogger with a gift for seeing beyond the scores, knows everything about the game, but nothing about guarding her heart.

When she's hired to be the official voice of the struggling Newport Beach Seagulls, she sees it as her shot at a career-defining move.

But that's before she meets Zachary Ryan, the team’s newest center—a notorious bad boy both on and off the ice.

Zach, with his undeniable talent and devastating charm, is a man with a plan. This season is his chance for redemption, to prove that he’s more than just tabloid fodder and to help pull his new team from the bottom of the standings.

But his fiercely protective nature is tested when he discovers that Harper, with her sharp mind and even sharper pen, is just as much a threat as she is a temptation.

Tossed into a world of locker room secrets and risky powerplays, Harper can’t help but fall for the man she's supposed to be reporting on.

As the sparks fly, they find themselves on thin ice—professionally and personally. With everything they care about on the line, can Harper and Zach score a win for love, or will their romance end up in the penalty box?

Exes & Goals is the first book in a completed hockey romance series. It features an enemies to lovers romance, with a sharp heroine with a haunted past and an Alpha hockey player compelled to protect her.

I pictured Harper as this nerdy writer, flawed, self-conscious, and insecure. She found her voice in the end but still needed Zach to have her back (literally) for her to find it. So, I wasn't a fan of Harper. The end was good and teased that there was a problem between S. Hanson and Thorpe (I hope not), but that is a good tactic to get readers to keep reading a series. There was some repetition in the writing, sometimes so close together. I thought I must not have swiped forward to the next page. It happened a couple of times in the book, so editing needs some polishing. Overall, it's a cute story. I'm happy they're getting their happy ending.

Sweet and steamy hockey sports romance. It has a good balance romance, drama and hockey. Zach and Harper have so much chemistry that was instant. This is a quick and easy read.

I liked the book. Goalies just can't be team captains in hockey.
