Michael Henein

After completing 5 years of clinical senior lecturership at Imperial College, London, and being a consultant in cardiology and echocardiography at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, between 2001 and 2006, Michael Henein accepted the role of Professor of cardiology at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), UK, and then became Professor of Cardiology at Umea University, Sweden, where he supervised several MSc and PhD theses. He has also published over 430 papers and edited 6 textbooks. Michael Henein holds the post of the Executive Vice Chancellor to the European Academy of Coptic Heritage (TEACH) and is Founder and Director of the St Kyrel Coptic European Choir and Orchestra. He recently obtained a PhD in Coptic music from Canterbury Christ Church University, UK. His research interests surround human physiology and various common cardiac conditions.
