The ABN AMRO app is for everyone, beginners and professionals alike. Children are able to use the app, and business clients can easily use it to do lots of their banking. Thanks to the app, you can always see all your everyday banking affairs at a glance and you can bank quickly and securely, wherever you are.

Get started with ABN AMRO too. Open a personal account in the app - it’s a breeze! You can even open a current account in the app using your international passport in many cases. No need to go to a branch.

You can do more with the app than you may know, like:
• log in to Internet Banking and confirm orders securely there
• get connected immediately with the right customer service representative
• change your personal details and settings
• block or unblock your debit card or request a replacement
• manage your digital debit cards
• send a Tikkie payment request

And of course you can also:
• do your banking right in the app and pay using iDEAL
• view your transactions, balance and bank accounts
• transfer money and schedule payment orders
• get notifications about deposits, withdrawals and direct debit transactions
• make investments, add to your savings, and view and take out a mortgage or insurance
• add accounts held at other banks to your overview

Doing your banking using the ABN AMRO app for the first time
If you already have a personal or business ABN AMRO current account, you can start using the app right away.

Secure banking
Once you’re logged in to the app, you can confirm transactions using the 5-digit ID code, and often with your fingerprint or Face ID. Be sure to keep your personal ID code secret. The app is missing some very basic features. 1) There is no way to add an account in the address book without sending that person some money. The replied to use the website, lol. 2) There is no way to add the recipient to the address book after the transaction has been made. 3) There is no option to write a text note with your transactions. Edit: Thanks for reply. There is no option to add notes to transactions made outside the app. Like tikkies, card payments, etc.

This app has become very very very slow since last week. Everything else on my phone is normal, so it's not my phone. It's very annoying Edit: Thanks, this worked!! Now I have another issue. Why don't we see a notification that there is an update available (when we open the app). I had no clue that there was one. It's slow again... takes almost 2min to login (for 2 days now)

Good afternoon LuutSs, Glad to read the issue has been solved with the latest update. We don't notify our clients at first when an update has been released. This notification will follow when you haven't updated the app for a while. You can make sure you have the latest update of our app if you update the app automatically. Rob

Changing the UI into a mess, and now they added a really annoying stupid 4 hour "wait lock" because some users don't know how to deal with scammers. We all have to suffer those consequences without the ability to disable it. With every update the app is dumbed down and debilitated, usability decreased. ABN is quickly turning from great to awful. Can no longer recommend and that is a very sad situation.
