ANWB Smart Driver

ANWB Smart Driver is the ANWB's newest roadside assistance service. Smart Driver warns you of imminent battery failure and technical malfunctions. So even before a warning light lights up on your dashboard. This way you don't come to a stop unnecessarily and you prevent unexpected repairs.

Smart Driver consists of a connector that you simply plug into your car and the app. You share technical data with the ANWB via the connector, so that we can predict malfunctions.

IMMEDIATE ADVICE FOR FAULT REPORTS
If Smart Driver signals a malfunction, or if a warning light comes on, you immediately receive a brief explanation of the problem and suggestions for follow-up actions.

WEAK BATTERY PREVENTIVE MESSAGE
Even before your car realizes it, Smart Driver can see that your battery is getting weaker. Smart Driver follows the battery voltage when starting and calculates the remaining life of the battery.

AVOID UNEXPECTED REPAIRS
Smart Driver warns in the event of imminent malfunctions or when lights come on and provides immediate advice. That saves unexpected repairs.

IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENTAL CONTACT WITH ANWB
In the event of a breakdown, Roadside Assistance knows where to go and often what the problem is. In addition, Smart Driver will contact you immediately if you are involved in a collision via crash assistance. If that is not possible, Smart Driver will call in the emergency services.

MAINTENANCE TIPS
You also receive reminders for periodic maintenance and for checks (oil level, tire pressure) that you can easily carry out yourself. Smart Driver helps with this with clear instructional videos and tips.

ANWB APPS IN TRAFFIC
ANWB believes that distractions in traffic due to the use of smartphones should stop. So do not operate this app while you are driving.
