I feel like I've been duped by the ratings on this, they must be fake. It says its an Audiobook but it's definitely AI narrated, if it's not then it's spoken very unnaturally, extremely hard to follow. The content is very referential, imagine having a computer voice over of a school assignment. DNF

I decided to get this audiobook not just to learn how to understand and manage my emotions better but to understand the emotions of my family as well. I feel it was a useful tool especially if you have difficulty expressing your emotions or in the other end of the spectrum which is too emotional in every situation. There needs to be a balance but I was having a hard time reaching that balance so I decided to get this audiobook and it has been a tremendous help to me. I really recommend it.

Some useful info, but definitely has a woman's perspective. Lots of emphasis on empathy which is a positive quality for all of us to have, but too much can be a work-place liability when trying to thrive in a highly competitive business environment. I've worked at multiple places that were very "Darwinistic" in that regard. I’ve never been very good at reading other people’s feelings or emotions, and it’s gotten me into trouble more times than I’d care to admit; especially when it comes to the opposite sex. It didn’t seem to matter if it was a personal or professional relationship; the inability to read the emotional cues was always there. After another conversation with my incredibly frustrated girlfriend one day she told me that I absolutely needed to read this book because she thought maybe it could help me understand emotional cues better. It was clear, not far into reading this book that my emotional intelligence quotient was painfully low. I started using the tips to help develop my emotional intelligence and the reflective practice was the one that had the largest impact on my ability to better understand, not only the emotions of other people, but my own as well.
