A short but intriguing novella about a woman (Juliana) who finally gets a divorce from an abusive ex-husband (Reagan) and just wants to live in peace & safety but a judge denies her application for a restraining order & once again she lives in fear with her young son (John). Juliana meets a new neighbor (Carl) when he saves her son from an unforeseen event. There is: tiger shifters, law enforcement, humans, twists & turns, intrigue, drama, family issues, secrets, danger, threats, some violence, deceit, betrayal, manipulations, confrontation, happiness, contentment, love & some steam.

This is one of those books that, despite being a PNR, echoes what too many women go through today and how woefully inadequate our our justice system is in protecting them. Juliana had been living in hell and divorcing her abuser didn't stop her nightmare. Her neighbour Carl saves her from a particularly vicious attack. The chemistry between these two is undeniable but will they be able to navigate the minefield of her past and his secret? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This book is short but entertaining, the interaction and chemistry between the characters is wonderful. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
