Wow! This book was fire! I loved the character development and how Bridget continues to surprise you in her writing. I was shocked by the twists in this story and couldn’t put it down! I haven’t been able to stop thinking about what may come in book 2, since I finished reading this book. The story tells about Dragons (The Blessed) who come to earth in search of “The Heart”. They are considered evil but one family starts to learn that they may not be as evil as they seem.

The whole dragon shifter idea was new to me, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the character development of Liz and how the black and white she saw the world in began to shift as she found that things aren't always as they first seem.

This story was amazing! I loved the family loyalty / protectiveness over her siblings, the unexpected tenderness of the guards, and the twist that I didn't see coming! I can't wait to see where this story goes!
