About this eBook

I knew the risks of this job when I signed on with Jameson Force Security. Knew my time as a marine would prepare me for the danger I would face. But no amount of training could have ever prepared me for the helplessness of watching my teammates die, the agonizing mental and physical pain of torture, or the despair of captivity.

Returning home to Pittsburgh following a mission gone wrong, I am riddled with guilt and haunted by nightmares. I spend my days trying to regain the parts of myself I lost in that desert, the pieces that made me the Malik Fournier I once was. While the physical effects of my torture are fading, the emotional ones are proving much more stubborn and I find solace from the last person I should ever seek such comfort.

Anna Tate lost even more than I did in that mission. Now a widow and a single mom to the daughter she gave birth to shortly after her husband’s death, Anna offers me comfort I don’t deserve. As my feelings for Anna grow, I worry that once she learns the truth about what happened, she’ll turn her back on me.

I pull her to me just as tightly as I push her away. Hoping this forbidden love will save me from the ghost I’ve become.

Sawyer Bennett is an author whose attention to detail is off the charts. Her writing is so visual that you feel as though you are right there. Her characters seem like they are real people and you become so attached to their story you literally cannot put the book down. Ghost was a story that I have been waiting for since the first mention of his capture is previous books. It is emotional, sad, frightening, because of what he went through, and also loving. He forms a bond with Anna from the moment he returns. They are both tied to his mission that resulted in him being captured and tortured. She lost her husband and he almost lost his life. Although he felt guilty and responsible for Jimmy’s death he could not ignore the attachment he felt toward Anna. But bro code made him hesitant along with the guilt to take it further. He had to come to terms on what happened on that mission before he would be allowed back to work and move on. He also didn’t know how Anna would react if she knew what really happened. Well his view anyway. He was the only one who thought he was responsible for Jimmy’s death, while others who were there had a very different view. In others eyes he acted according to how he was trained and did the best job. This story is filled with so many emotions. Tears you will cry for Malik as well as Anna. Two souls that are so connected you cannot help but wish for their happiness together.

Code Name; Ghost is book 5 in the Jameson Force Security Series and it’s Malik Fournier and Anna Tate’s story, it’s the book I have been waiting for and it did not disappoint, it ticked all my boxes and I was captivated from the first page to the last line. For me this series has got better with each read. Malik is finally home after being rescued from a mission that went horribly wrong, he lost friends and colleagues and now finds himself living with survivors guilt, one of those lost was his friend and Anna’s husband so how does he now face the woman on a daily basis in the office they both work in. Anna was pregnant and alone when she lost her husband and the men of Jameson Security invited her in and made her an important part of the running of the firm but will Malik ever get past the guilt especially when he realises he has feelings for this woman..... This was certainly an emotional ride but it was a journey I was so glad to be part off, two people picking up the pieces and trying to move on whilst trying to deal with guilt. Ms Bennett knows how to draw us in with characters we fall for big time and she also describes emotions so well, I cried and I sighed as this couple who shared an emotional bond tried to make a new life. Will the bond they share heal or destroy them both..... This is a series I highly recommend it has the perfect mix of love, emotional and suspense.

Wow!! I knew Malik and Anna’s story was going to be an emotional one but I never anticipated the deep feels this one would give me! Malik’s story has been LONG anticipated! We first heard about his kidnapping in the Arizona Vengeance Series, then in the Wicked Horse Vegas Series and of course the Jameson Team has been seeking for him for months! I was so happy when he was rescued. By the end of chapter one I was already bawling my eyes out! I ADORED Anna. She is a strong, independent woman, grieving the loss of her husband, Jimmy who died during the same mission where Malik was kidnapped. She is a single mom to 4 month old baby, Avery. She is working as Kynan’s personal assistant at Jameson and she fits in perfectly with the Jameson Team and Family. Malik has just returned after being held in captivity in Syria for 5 months. He has endured so much pain, torture and starvation to the extent no one should ever have to experience and has managed to survive and come out on the other side. He is strong and resilient and a true fighter. Anna and Malik compliment each other perfectly. Malik is struggling after the death of two of his teammates and Anna is struggling after her husbands death. Due to this their emotional connection is deep, special and unique. Anna had no problems standing up for herself with what she wanted from Malik. She is fierce and and strong and never excepted any less than she deserved. Not to mention the passion and heat between these two!! Holy fireworks! I loved the Fournier’s in the previous Cold Fury books and loved their return in this book. Malik’s relationship with his family I adored. He is super close to all his siblings and the closeness and dynamic between them was so special. I LOVED Anna’s friendship with Cage and the teasers dropped in this book for his story next were EVERYTHING! I cannot wait for his book, Code Name: Rook coming in October! Code Name: Ghost is a top favourite in the series and deserves more than 5 stars! *I received an ARC from the author in exchange of an honest review.
