I think giving away a few books for free and then charging to finish the series is fraudulent marketing. I'd prefer if at the outset we know the total cost for the series. I won't bother buying the rest to finish the story as I hate this type of teasers. I know authors need to make money and happy to support them but not like this. And joining the newsletters is also a waste so I'll be unsubscribing. Pity. Please don't start to read the first book and then be sold the rest. Better get a paid book you know will finish and its what you paid for. Please don't do this authors. It works against you

I think I’m more confused than ever about what’s going on with this series. This book looks like it’s just blown half of my pet theories out of the water, but I know perfectly well that the authors are notorious for sudden and unexpected revelations in their plots. I’m not hanging any of my theories up just yet. In fact, after the sudden and unexpected revelations of this book, I’m adding a bunch of new ones into the mix. I almost hate to admit it, but Suede is really starting to irritate me. She keeps acting like a sullen tween with a death wish and that doesn’t quite work for me in a leading character. In any case, I’m dying to know what happens next. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
