About this ebook

Zack wasn’t someone to focus on his mistakes, but he’d made a big one, and it was hard to move on from it. Still he was determined to work with Levi’s team to find new meaning in his life and to get his head on straight. At least that was the plan. When he ends up part of a two-man team to rescue a kidnapped woman, the daughter of a former politician, Zack doesn’t know how to react—she’s certainly unique. Not the least of which, she didn’t appreciate the rescue. … At least not once she learns the details.

Zadie knew her father was guilty of the crimes he’d been accused of. She was more concerned about her mother, who’d always been the downtrodden and obedient wife. But, as more and more evidence shines a light on their lives and her kidnapping, the issue is no longer as clear.

Heartbroken at the losses that keep mounting, Zadie knows she needs a second rescue—hopefully by her same rescuer. Only it’s not as simple this time, and it’s infinitely more dangerous …

I enjoyed this book. Zack and Zadie were easy to like and to feel for. The story is well written, captured my interest and kept it. On one hand you had action, drama and excitement and on the other you had romance, emotion and deep inner turmoil. This made for a very compelling read. I felt that the inner turmoil and the mistakes that plagued the main characters made them super relatable and just made everything else feel more intense. This is my frank, freely posted review.

This is book 23 in the Heroes For Hire series and it features Zadie and Zack, with the help of Bonaparte. Their job is in Istanbul, Turkey and they are to find and rescue the daughter of the deposed president, as she has been kidnapped. The action, suspense and adventure were amazing! Zack and Bonaparte were fabulous characters but I wasn’t feeling too much emotion from the other characters in the story.

Zack is coming off a previous job that didn't quite go as well as he expected because of past acquaintances. Ice and Levi have anther opportunity and assure Zack he is wanted. It was awesome to get a little update about Ice and Levi. Zack is partnered with Bonaparte and they are off to recuse Zadie in Istanbul. Her father is corrupt, her mom is sick and she is captured while visiting them, under house arrest. I liked Zack he was so normal, albeit with excellent Navy Seal Skills. Zadie knew her dad was corrupt and just wanted to rescue her mom. Bonaparte made me laugh with his mad driving skills and I look forward to his story. There was a definite twist, surprise at the end and those always make my day. Thank you Dale Mayer for yet another book that entertains and takes me to another place. Thank you to the author and Booksprout for the arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own and were unsolicited.
