A 3.75 stars read. I miss Levi and Ice's team. Heroes for hire is my first series from Dale Mayer, so this series has special place in my heart especially Levi and Ice and now there's cute adorable Hunter that makes everything sweeter. Okay apart from how I love this series, I really enjoy this latest book. This book started with an attack, the suspense was high from the beginning. I got to see Noah as a knight in shining armor from the first chapter and it was great. It's also a page-turner story, I love the mystery of finding out what's the real motive behind all these attacks. Then add cute romance between Noah and Dianne, I love their banter from their beginning, the teasing and flirting is so cute. Although it's a bit dragging and many repetitions in the middle and there's a "why he did that" that got me a bit confused, this book still an enjoyable and entertaining romantic suspense read for me.

Our mystery man is out to get Levi through anyone he knows, in this case Dianne who Ice, Levi and Noah hear scream over the phone. Noah is off to the rescue and runs in to some snags along the way. Enough that they bring in 2 more from the team to help support. When the reason for the revenge is first brought up, its understandable, a parent going striking out. Hush, I didn't say it was right, I said its understandable, the switch that breaks through the thin layer of right and wrong. When we get to the end and get all the details? Pfft sooo very wrong. Immature, irresponsible and Kra Kra was our bad guy. There is the banter between Dianne and Noah, which I personally thought was pretty realistic, my husband and I snark alot like that. Win win when we visit Ice and Levi. The icing on the cake was getting to see Hunter, the son of Levi and Ice. With this series you can always expected to be entertained. Thank you for the arc, Booksprout, Dale Mayer. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

Dianne is a friend of Ice and Levi's and when she calls after being attacked Noah doesn't hesitate to get to her and make sure she is ok, from there it is a chase to confirm who is behind the attack and catch them while also making sure Di is kept safe from further attacks. While some answers come easy the danger could come from anywhere and it is a race to try and track down the bad guy before Di or any others die as well as keep Dianne safe while she does what she came to Texas to do. While the attraction between Di and Noah builds and they spar with each other she does show a very stubborn side which at times made me feel like Noah along with Ice and Levi should have put their foot down especially as things continued to escalate, but it also added to the tension of what would happen next! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
