About this ebook

He would never be played for a fool!

Stavros Teresi was furious when he learned that one of his previous mistresses was going to release a tell-all book about him. He had to stop her! And as soon as he met the beautiful, spunky Annie, he had a two-part plan.

What he hadn’t expected was to discover that the gorgeous baker was more than just frosting deep. She was more like a jelly donut - sweet and wonderful, exciting both inside and out. Something about her called to his soul and soothed the angry beast.

He also hadn’t expected to find out that she’d embezzled over one million dollars from him!

Annie Stevenson prided herself on two things: her creative, crazy donut flavors and her ability to run a kick-butt bakery. Until one day when she realized that she’d been robbed! Now she couldn’t pay the rent on her business space! Her only option is to appeal for a bit more time to resolve this latest crisis.

Meeting Stavros Teresi, the building’s tall, hunky, oh-so-fabulously-scary owner was a shock. And she was even more stunned when he proposed! Yes, it would be a fake marriage. But as she stared up into his challenging eyes, Annie realized that this man needed her. And she…maybe…needed him?

So when he accuses her of stealing from him, her whole world is shattered. Could she find the true culprit? And when she found this person, could she ever forgive Stavros for thinking she could commit such a heinous crime?

First of the series, Annie owns a bakery, and it’s credit to Elizabeth’s story telling that I advise you to grab some doughnuts to eat when the cravings hit!! Stavros decides to try do some damage control by an arranged marriage. Annie confuses him as she’s fiercely independent and uninterested in his money. Strong main characters with plenty of witty and great supporting friends mean that this is an easy and entertaining start to the series.

I really enjoyed this story. Annie is a delight. She is the hard-working owner of a very successful bakery. Her store is in a building owned by the extremely focused billionaire Stavros Teresi. For the past few months, Stavros has been dropping into the bakery on Friday mornings for coffee and the special “donut of the week” when actually he’s hot for the lovely Annie, not the donut…and… Every Friday Annie waits impatiently for her dream guy to come into the shop. They finally meet when Stavros overhears Annie and his property manager arguing. When he hears that she needs some additional time to pay this months’ rent his mind instantly thinks she’s trying to scam him. Stavros's past encounters have been with selfish money- grubbing women. In Annie's case, it turns out a past employee embezzled lots of her money. SOOO it turns out HE needs a favor and SHE needs a favor so they put a plan together to help each other. Their time visiting Stavros’s private island is HOT! He really can be a nice sexy man. Lovely characters, awesome funny feel-good story. I read free in exchange for my honest review. Linda
