About this eBook

Twenty-five hundred miles in a car. All I want is a respectful driver who'll be quiet and let me lick my wounds. Instead, a disarming flirt takes the wheel and propels my life into a tailspin.

My father was supposed to be my road trip companion but abandoned me for his work. Once again. It should no longer hurt, but it does.

To add insult to injury, with his shorts and flip-flops, mussed hair, and a blindingly perfect smile, my driver is…

Annoyingly hot and far too friendly.

From the moment our gazes collide, things between us are hostile. Actually, I’m the frosty one. Tom Raine is a special kind of guy.

No matter how insufferable I am or how many times I stress he’s nothing more than my driver—most definitely not my friend—he persists in tearing down my walls.

Before long, I’m telling him my wildest wishes and darkest secrets. And it gets harder to care that our worlds couldn’t be any farther apart. Living in the spotlight, I curate images of a perfect life, while he truly makes a difference.

We should slow down or, at the very least, pump the brakes. Foolishly, we race headlong into sinfully inappropriate. I’ve never felt like this about any man. Heart aflutter and more alive than ever before. Most of all, he understands and respects me.

Tom’s the man I never wanted. He doesn’t fit into my life. But now that I’ve had him, I can’t imagine letting him go.

3.5* Leighton and Tom. Tom is doing his friend a favor and offers to drive Leighton to her destination. I listened to the audio of this through BookFunnel courtesy of Home Cooked Books. The narrators did a good job telling the story and giving the characters a voice. This one was ok. I liked Tom but I wasn't a fan of Leighton I'm not a big fan of characters who act privileged and snobby and a majority of the time that is how she came off with the way she acted and some of the things she did.

S.M. West is a new author to me, and I found Falling For The Charmer to be an entertaining listen. Narrated by Devra Woodward and Alex Kydd (both new to me), they did justice to the story and the characters. This is Leighton and Tom’s road trip from Los Angeles to Canada story. I will be honest, there were times that I struggled with Leighton’s character; however she grew on me as the story progressed. Tom was such a wonderful character, he made me swoon.

There isn't anything to dislike about SW West's books. The characters are complex and well-developed. Somehow Tom could see through Leighton's uppity behavior (even when the readers couldn't, making it hard to like the heroine for half of the book) to the real person that no one else saw. My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.
