What a lovely and heartwarming Christmas story! Hannah is a dog trainer and the guardian of her deceased sister’s twin toddlers. She is hiding a secret about the father of the girls, but she promised her sister not to tell. Her promise ends up causing her a lot of problems with Luke Hutcheson, her neighbor and the girls’ biological uncle. The story itself is a simple one, with secrets and romance and children who just need to be accepted and loved. The addition is that the adults in this story need to find acceptance and love, too. Although the ending is predictable, it was such a sweet read getting there. With dogs added to the mix, it was a perfect story that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was entertaining as well as inspirational to read how the relationships developed with the people and with God. Hannah working part time as a dog trainer at the rescue center, now taking care of her sister twin girls eighteen month. Seeing Luke back in town to care for his father, and the secrets Hannah knew about his brother. Working at the rescue center as a handyman for a couple of months. Trying to cope with his father’s drinking and surgery coming up. Two opposites of what they had been attracted to before, circumstances, needs and living close by. Brought them to a different place in their lives one of sharing, and helping the needs for family. First Christmas in Bethlehem Springs for the twins, his dad busy with buying gifts, the beginning of a new family, and sharing. Great story Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Adorable twins, a handsome, hunky hero, and a heroine with a secret. The makings of a great story. I loved how Hannah and Luke liked each other but each thought the other was out of their reach. Hannah also has a secret that keeps her at a distance from Luke. This was also a story of forgiveness. I had to stop reading several times during the last few chapters to wipe away tears. I thought this was a great book and would recommend it. I received a copy of this book from the author. These are my honest thoughts.
