More mystery, suspense, danger, threats and surprises. We still don't know the full story behind Kay. Threats against Kay have gotten dangerous. Daniel is not showing any sign he is grieving the death of his wife. This intriguing read held my attention from beginning to end. We do find out a little bit more about Milo. Another cliffhanger that still has so many unanswered questions.

Daniel Davenport's wife is murdered and he is the main suspect. He asks his sometime lover, Kay Havelin to be his attorney. Kay is being targeted by someone that has vandalized her car and painted the door of her home. Danger and suspense with a cliff hanger until the final episode.

Wickedly cruel to the reader Kay, a new lawyer, has one case under her belt and is working to build her client case, while Reese, a detective turned crime scene investigator, is settling into his new role with the NOPD and still unsure how to process the things he learned in Cruel. As the story progresses intimidation starts, another old connection reaches out, and just thinking they know the culprit may not be enough to keep them safe. W.L. Knightly is wickedly cruel to the reader in Intent. The shadows of doubt are cast and lines are drawn in this book, leaving the reader once again holding a bag of possible outcomes that are probably untrue. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
