About this ebook

She's his enemy, his downfall—and his one last chance at love.

After Adam Danvers lost his wife in a tragic accident, he stopped believing in love. Instead, Adam has focused solely on running his family’s struggling vineyard in the small town of Heron’s Landing.

When Joy McGuire, a beautiful and clever journalist, moves to the sleepy town, suddenly Adam can’t control his intense attraction to her. She’s witty; she pushes his buttons. He wants to shake her as much as he wants to kiss her.

But Joy is a journalist, and Adam hates them all on principle. He saw firsthand how a journalist’s lies destroyed his late wife. Yet as Joy proves that she’s nothing like the writers he’s known, Adam can’t help but give in to exquisite temptation.

Soon a conflagration ignites between Adam and Joy. Yet as secrets unfold, Adam must trust in love or lose the woman who’s awakened his slumbering heart.

This title was previously published as Seduce Me Sweetly. It’s been rereleased with a brand-new look and with lightly edited content.

It’s hard for me to be truly objective in this review. Adam is a jerk, and I wanted to slap him several times in this book. Joy is a freelance journalist, and she moves to Heron’s Landing after an emotional betrayal by the two people closest to her. Adam owns the winery, and it’s losing money. He’s also a widower, and the behavior of journalists after his wife’s death has soured him on them as a species. This doesn’t excuse his behavior with Joy, especially towards the end of the book – and I am not giving spoilers, so, to find out what I mean, you’ll be reading the book! That said, the characters are, as always, well written (perhaps too well written, where Adam’s concerned), the story moves, and the intrigue is definitely present. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a story of love, redemption, second chances and one of the best that I have read by Ms. Morland. Adam and Joy are both struggling with lost and betrayal. The two find comfort and move on to build new lives with each other. When trouble shows up Adam has to decide if his relationship with Joy is worth fighting for. This is an awe inspiring story that will pull at your emotions. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Romantic and sexy this novel has heartbreak and pain running through it. Adam is a fairly boorish hero, grumpy and distrustful and yet he has a certain appeal for Joy. Joy, on the other hand, has had her fair share of pain but barrels through life on an upbeat note. Unfortunately, a snake in the grass plays havoc with their lives, leading to more pain. The story is generally well written with an interesting plot, but I had difficulty relating to the characters. I received a copy of this novel through BookSprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.
