About this ebook

A talented and ambitious chef, Jaime Martinez knows the value of hard work. Now the executive chef at his best friend’s vineyard in Heron’s Landing, Jaime only wants to make his mark on the culinary world.

Romance? Not in the cards for him. And definitely not with his best friend’s little sister, who’s recently grown into a beautiful young woman. A painter and an innocent, Grace Danvers is a temptation that would only end in disaster.

Yet when Grace confesses her feelings for Jaime one night, he’s suddenly torn between his attraction to her and his loyalty to her brother.

Soon that loyalty is tested when Jaime comes under scrutiny for a crime he didn’t commit, a crime that could jeopardize all of his hard work and his blossoming romance with Grace.

As things heat to a boiling point between the forbidden lovers, Jaime must now decide if he’s willing to sacrifice everything for the woman he loves.

This title was previously published as Tempt Me Tenderly. It’s been rereleased with a brand-new look and with lightly edited content.

Despite being an artist in the preparation of food, Jaime Martinez does not rely solely on his ability but puts his heart and soul into his work, Thus, when his boss and good friend lets him know that there is irregular activity taking place at Heron's Landing and that the evidence is pointing to him, Jaime is devastated. Adam's little sister has had a crush on him for years but as the problems at work escalate, so too does the interaction between him and Grace become more relevant and people are starting to notice. Grace is having a hard time finding her place in her world. As much as she wants to wield an artist's brush, pressure from her father makes it difficult for her to experience a free flow of inspiration. The one constant in her life is Jaime and her attraction for him. The plot is fairly suspenseful as the crime is investigated with all the hallmarks of racial discrimination, but as Jaime and Grace get closer to the truth, the danger facing them increases too. I felt the emotional turmoil experienced by the characters as they faced the difficulties set before them, as well as a certain amount of anger at the unfairness of the situations they faced. However, the book is a standalone and does come to a happy conclusion. I received a copy of this novel as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I enjoyed this book. It was a good continuation of the story for the Danvers family. I liked seeing a lot of Joy and Adam and I liked Grace a lot.
