About this ebook

Bryan Armstrong and Kyle Detwiler, two college students on the cusp of graduation, are the lucky winners of a contest to become interns on the paranormal television show The Specter Slayers.

Their excitement turns to jubilation when they discover that they'll be aiding in the investigation of The Danver Church, one of the most haunted places in America. Nestled in the remote mountains of Pennsylvania, the church is world renowned for the massacre that occurred there forty years earlier.

Accompanied by best-selling horror author Katie Upshaw, they attempt to survive a dream job that quickly turns into a nightmare. The church, adorned with satanic symbols and imagery, is the home of things far worse than any of them could have imagined.

It's an easy read. Dialog heavy until about halfway. Then a bunch of stuff happens. Fast paced from then onwards. The writing is passable, for the most part. It's not going to win any awards, but you could do much worse than this short horror novel (it's better than The Dark, from the same author).

No zombies but still the great writing style! Hard to put down, felt it was a bit rushed and too short but still enjoyed it. I've now read all the books by this author and I'm disappointed they've come to an end!

Surprisingly very good! It's nothing we have not seen already and is a bit predictable but it's very engaging. Reminds me a bit of Stephen King without the extra jargon. I'm really liking this guys writing style. Already purchased The Dark book from this author.
