About this eBook

Being a badass growing up had been fine for a while, but Kurt knew his life had to change. His best option? The US Navy. Fourteen years later a serendipitous request from Badger to check out reports of a missing War Dog hidden in the bushes and attacking people sends Kurt to the very place he couldn’t wait to get out of.

When Kurt chose the navy over Laurie Ann so long ago, he left her with a gift she’d fought long and hard to keep. Plus she didn’t give up on her dream of becoming a doctor. When Kurt returns, it’s hard not to see the same person she’d loved in this older version. Yet the town has a long memory, and at least one person isn’t willing to see who Kurt is now.

But, as always, he’s a trouble magnet. Was he capable of handling the nightmare they were in, or would he leave, just like he had last time?

This one is a light suspense read mix with second chance romance. This book is easily to be consume in short time, I just start and suddenly I finished. So fun and light reading. The story is another mission to rescue a war dog and this time there's local gang involved, young bullies that cause lots of trouble is in town, so yes, lots of actions and I super love Sabine's actions, this wonderful dog's kicking those bad guys. Who doesn't love when bullies got what they deserved, right?!?! There's also that second chance romance that put lots of sweetness in this book, I love the sparks between Laurie Ann and Kurt, they're just so sweet and perfect for each other. Great story, loveable characters, amazing dog, although rushed at some parts, still enjoyed and like it a lot. Totally recommended for everyone who's looking for a light sweet suspense read.

Kurts back home after 14 years away, he has changed and for the better and looking to find Sabrina the war dog who has been abandoned and gets way more than he bargained for. The secret he learns about just after arriving has your head spinning and then when things start to go down by where he thinks Sabrina is you know he is a better man than most especially with how supportive (insert sarcasm) the local cops are. I will be honest I wasn't sure how things would pan out and whether Kurt would still be in one piece at the end of it and I loved how Kurt got the last laugh especially with the local cops and the HEA with his new family. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It has been 14 years since Kurt left for the Navy and now he is back to his original home to search for a missing K9. Sabine was suppose to be retired to a good home but now can't be found. While Kurt was searching he found things he didn't expect including mystery, suspense, old friends, new friends and so much more! I love the way this tale involves a roundabout way of describing the story of life, interpersonal relationships and family. I also love the devotion, honesty and constant attempt to do the right thing. I'll definitely read this again. The epilogue talks of Tucker going into a complicated situation. I can't wait!
