This is Isis and Osiris’s story. Theirs was not a love match just like the other gods and goddesses. However, they make it a love match. Seth is jealous of his brother and something terrible. It was a very short story that was easy to read and give you a bit more detail about the gods life. I am enjoying these tales. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Laura Greenwood has made 'Queen of the Two Lands' the prequel in the "Forgotten Gods" series and yet it fits perfectly after all the ones previously published. I'm a mythology geek and it's amazing to me the amount of research that shows within the story! Her ability to blend the mythology with the romance is astounding and this short read pulled me in from the very beginning making me feel as if I were there in the midst of Isis and Osiris getting to know one another after having endured an arranged marriage, the jealousy of Osiris' brother and fellow god, and Osiris being made Pharoah. There is already respect and friendship between the two but watching them work through the chemistry and finding their passion for each other was truly wonderful.

This is a great prequel of Osiris and Isis and how their relationship develops from an arranged, loveless marriage, to so much more. The story is short but has enough information on them that you get sucked into their story and want more.
