The newly crowned Pharaoh, Osiris, and his Queen, Isis, discovered their love for each other despite their arranged marriage. They invited Seth, who is unhappy about not being chosen as Pharaoh, to a celebratory event in his honor. Unfortunately, Seth's happiness was not long-lasting. This quick read has plenty of romance, ending with an unconventional cliffhanger. Very highly recommended. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a great short read. A look into the lives of Osiris and Isis. Osiris and Isis marriage was not based on love. But with determination on Isis part she learned to love Osiris and brought them closer together. Then Seth, the God of Choas, decides to do what he does best. Highly entertaining read from the start. Not all journeys in finding love are perfect, you just work with what you are given. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Story of Osiris and Isis. This fictional story is part of the Forgotten Gods series from Laura Greenwood who provides clean yet a well written story into this myth of the Egyptian gods. I like her rendition as she starts the book with an explanation of why and how she decided this series. In fact this explanation is in every book beginning. Reading Osiris, the Pharaoh King god and his Queen wife Isis tells of their courtship and falling in love. It does speed to the present.
