I must say that this story just totally grabbed me and would not let go until I turned the last page. It had intrigue, mystery, comedy (had me chuckling at Karla and Leila’s banter) and of course swoon-worthy romance. The book begins with a kidnapping, lots of twists and turns for our trinity of Antonio, Karl and Leila. Very vivid storytelling and amazing characters that just jump out at you by Author Tag Team Carr and Dubois. I was biting my fingernails towards the end of the story, so suspenseful. The chemistry between Antonio, Karl and Leila is off the charts, I love their banter right from the start. They got to know each through trying circumstances, pretty much at their worst, it could only get better. As they start falling for each other, they also have to find a killer, lots of adrenaline pumping, which leads to other matters…and the sexy scenes are sizzling. I hope you join us that have read the series, even though the book is standalone, we also get glimpses of previous characters. Get ready for some fast-paced action, both in and out of the bedroom. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Before I began this book, I knew it was supposed to be the best yet. The authors had been dropping hints since the release of the last book, and with the entire series, each book has just gotten progressively more amazing. Even knowing all that, I didn't really think that anything could top Loyalty's Betrayal. I was wrong. I wasn't prepared for just how......perfect this book was. I should have known better than to try to start this book before bedtime, thinking I'd just read a bit and finish when I got up. No. Just no. Be forewarned. This isn't one of those books that you can read a little, put it away, and then read a little bit later. Nope. This is one of those that you have to read it all at one time. There is no putting it down. I was so caught up, hours went by, and I didn't even realize it! This duo of authors has put together a secret world that is totally spy movie worthy. And Pleasure's Fury takes it to an entirely new level. The description is so fantastic, I could actually picture it as it was unfolding. The non-stop escalation of crazy events in this book had me glued to my seat, unable to put my kindle down. It was chilling, making shivers run up and down my spine, exactly how descriptive this story was. I kept wanting to look over my shoulder, to make sure the bad guy wasn't sneaking up on me! The relationship between these three characters was more....just more. I feel like their emotions, their feelings, were deeper than in some of the previous books. Maybe because of the circumstances of the beginning? I'm not sure but it definitely made for a fantastic story! I can't say enough, if you are a lover of romance, if you are a lover of the Trinity Masters, or of the Master's Admiralty, this book is going to blow you away. It takes everything we love and jacks it up to a whole new level. This series has been great so far, but of all of the books by this duo, This Book Is It! The writing is fantastic, the story engaging, the characters amazing, and the description so real, you can picture yourself right in the middle of the action as it happens! Definitely one of my top reads of the year!

Pleasure’s Fury By Mari Carr and Lila Dubois Once again Mari Carr and Lila DuBois have hit it out of the ballpark. This was a late night read for me, I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to turn to the last chapter to see what happens to these characters. The story starts with the abduction and torture of two of the main characters, Leila and Karl. This part was descriptive enough that I felt like I was in the room with them. While searching for the killer of a trinity in Rome, Antonio finds the missing Admiralty members. He is horrified by the condition he finds them in. He rescues them and takes them into hiding to heal. Antonio is an assassin of Rome. He is told to stop his investigation of the murder of the trinity. After seeing the condition of Leila and Karl, he believes that this is the work of the Domino. As Leila and Karl heal, Antonio continues his investigation with their help, despite being told repeatedly to stop. As their search continues, they find evidence that is not the Domino committing these horrible murders, but another killer they call the mastermind. Who is this mastermind? Paths lead to someone in power in the Admiralty, but who? As they try to figure who could possibly be the killer and their motive, the trio grow closer. Unfortunately, they are not a trinity. As they fight to stay alive, because the killer is bound to finish what he started, the trio must also fight for the right to stay together. I thoroughly enjoyed this suspense. It gripped me from page one. Leila, Karl and Antonio are some of my favorite characters in this series. We see the strengths and weaknesses in Karl and Leila as they battle the demons from their capture in order to find the killer before he finds them. Antonio’s loyalty to these two people as well as his desire to protect them is fierce. We also get to experience a little more of Fleet Admiral Eric Ericsson in this story. Love his sarcasm. I was also happy to see the librarians included in the search for the killer. This was an excellent story and I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
