This is book two in this series. It does Not standalone and you must read book one. I liked that we got some answers that we had been left asking at the end of book one, but book two brought a whole new batch for readers to fixate on. The story is suspenseful and (I hate to use this word) trippy. There are lies and truth and it is very hard to tell the difference. I did like that Kinsley showed some character growth from the first book and that in my opinion was a welcome improvement. Killian, I like but have deep concerns over what he's supposed to be doing and his own unexpected emotions. Book two ends on another cliffhanger, so be prepared.

Oh my! I cannot get over what a hot mess Kinsley and Killian are! One dark and compromised situation after another land these two in all sorts of hot water! With family and the FBI on the not trustable list, the stakes keep getting higher. Emotional tying them up in knots, messing with their psyche's and making for one book full of confusion, anger, and lust! Hooked from the very start, and feeling like I am in the thick of it at this point there is no turning back now! I want- scratch that I NEED to see this crazy train of love, heartache, deception, and danger through to the end!

This series started off powerful and book two, "Maybe Never" picks up right where book one, "Maybe Yes" left off. The story flows so quickly and evenly the pages seem to turn quicker than counted. The plot twists and turns. Pieces of the puzzle are coming out but as they do more intrigue is folded into it. And what about family loyalty? You'll have to read the book to find out. Be prepared for another cliffhanger delivered as only Ella Miles can deliver.
