About this eBook

When his call came, the mission was the opposite of what he expected…

Returning to his hometown of London, UK, was a happy surprise, until he realized what—and who—was involved. Out of his comfort zone when dealing with women sold into sexual slavery or even “collected,” regardless Miles was determined to dig in deep, when he realized he knew the latest kidnapped victim. A woman who’d touched him years earlier. To think she might be suffering at the hands of a deranged serial kidnapper or, worse, could be sold in some human trafficking ring…

Vanessa, tied up and blindfolded, has no idea why she’d been kidnapped. She does her best to obey her captor, even as she plots her escape. Her hope is that she’s been reported missing and that the cops are looking for her. … They are, but so is someone else…

Keeping Vanessa safe at his side, Miles is taxed to the limit to unravel and to capture a serial killer who’s lain undetected for decades, disguised as a serial kidnapper…

A fast-paced suspense romance read, not my favorite but I love it nonetheless, and that's because of Miles, love his alpha personality, his protectiveness, his sweetness and his gentleness, bottom line is I love Miles. As for the story, I love the suspense, the kidnapping it's pretty terrifying, love how the author got me always expecting something bad will happen in the next page, even though I felt it was a bit rushed at the end, the bad guy is doing it for seventeen years, to end just like that is kinda left me unsatisfied, I still enjoying it nonetheless especially those actions and suspense. If you're looking for a fast-paced suspense read, this is the book for you.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. This was a quick read. I did enjoy it but it really felt a little off to me. Within 24 hour period a great deal of action, suspense, mystery and love took place and almost the solving of the crime. It just felt rushed to me. The characters were well-written and the plot moved quickly (again most of the book took place in a 24 hour period.) The one sexy scene raised a question to me. It didn't seem like there was any protection used and that bothered me for two people that really had just met a very short time ago. I must be getting old. The female protagonist was easy to read. There have been times when they tend to get on my nerves but Vanessa was well written. It was Vanessa's sister, Ruby that got a little short when Miles questioned her that bothered me here. I enjoyed the dual POV format. There was some interest between the two main protagonists while going through the events of stories to make it believable. The ending had a twist that I didn't see coming at all. There is one sexy scene that was short and that being said I cannot recommend this to anyone under the age of 18.

In book 7, Miles gets his turn with The Mavericks. Miles was just thinking of his home in London, and he gets the call that he'll be going there to investigate the disappearance of Vanessa. Things get interesting when Miles realizes who Vanessa is. She is no shrinking violet, and things get ramped up when he finally gets to meet her. Exciting, fast paced, action packed reading that will keep you until you've finished the book. Another fantastic book in the series!
