Deadly Coincidence

This book was everything I have come to expect from the very talented Ms Edwards. Book 4 in the Off the Books Series and in this instalment we see the Off the Books Task Force investigating a new case but Brantley is keeping a secret and that secret could put the whole team at risk. This case relies on JJ’s skills but that puts her at risk and it’s going to be hard keeping her safe. Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis continue to try and make their professional and their personal relationship work but this new case will test them to the limits. This is a fast paced story full of suspense, mystery, intrigue and plenty of passion, it involves the whole team so we get to catch up with everyone including Travis Walker and his family. I was captivated from the first page to the last line, i was on the edge of seat throughout this entertaining read, I love this team, I love the friendships, the loyalty and the love they share. I need more from this team and I’m excited for what’s coming next.

I’m so in love with this series. Brantley and Reese have become a firm favourite of mine and I look forward to each story. I’m loving how their relationship is developing, the pace is perfect. Although there’s a case as such in this book it feels more like it’s tying up some loose ends and setting up for the next one. JJ takes more of a role in this one so it’s fun to get inside her head. She’s been through a lot and carries so much turmoil inside I’m really hoping Baz and her will work out. Ive really enjoyed Baz so far and I’m hoping the next book will be a positive one for them and I’d love to see JJ happier. I really hope that this next book resolves the Jessica Prince storyline, she’s starting to irritate me now so I really want her to get what’s coming to her. I really want Travis to settle down again as I worry he’s going to lose too much of himself. I’m really looking forward to the next book and I’m so pleased we don’t have to wait very long.

One thing I love about Nicole's books is that she never leaves us wondering about the characters. No matter which one is your favorite, you will see them again because they are always popping up in another book. However I absolutely love that this series is continuing in multiple books. Reading Brantley and Reeses story is both entertaining and addicting! It's like reading someone's journal about a real life love story. Or watching your favorite tv show every week without the annoying cliffhangers. On top of that this book is not just a typical romance. Of course you have the steamy hot scenes with smoking hot males but throw in some suspense and danger and you've got yourself a world class read. This book is a must buy!! I can't wait to read the next in the series.
