This novella is dual POV, well written, and a darker, mafia, age gap, enemies to lovers romance. I enjoyed Dahlia’s resilience and that her regimented life hadn’t quashed her enthusiasm and spirit. I enjoyed Antonio’s changing perspective on his aims, and appreciated that he didn’t allow his anger with Dahlia’s father to continue to colour his interactions with her. I enjoyed their banter and boundary setting/pushing. I enjoyed their steamy intimate interactions.

"For the first time in forever, I don't know what my future holds." I think I'd categorize this as mafia-lite. Even though Antonio is the Don's nephew, there's no real mafia violence or action. What this is, simply, is a love story. There's a lot of steam here. Antonio and Dahlia have mad chemistry. It's short, so there's an insta-love element and no time for a lot of character development. I liked Antonio and felt underneath his anger and hurt he was really a good guy.

This is a short read. This is Antonio and Dahlia’s story. They met when she was having her coming out, but what they did not know is what happened to each other later. Antonio waited seven years to get his revenge on her family. Dahlia has been primed to be a President's wife, but she has no love for who she has to marry. What will happen during Antonio’s revenge?.
