Resisting Her Husband

Kate Bendorf is a fun, vivacious, outgoing beauty. She works as a sales clerk in a high-end boutique which she loves. Her life is pretty awesome, great friends, great job, and apartment. What more could she want. Until, while belting out a karaoke number with her girlfriends in a bar, she spots those eyes, that man. Charles Rutherford is also thunderstruck. That silly lady belting out that song is captivating. AND… in a week Charles is begging Kate to marry him. Then the problems start. It seems that Charles lives in a huge museum of a house with his mother and aunt. These two old bats are awful in every way to Kate. They are trying to run Kate off because they think she is not up to their snobby standards. Charles is a total idiot for putting his lovely wife in the same house knowing how nasty his mother and aunt are. Kate takes the abuse alone while Charles withdraws blaming Kate for changing into a Stepford wife. Thank God that Kate realizes she doesn't have to live like this and leaves. Kate goes back to her lively, friend-filled, colorful life. Charles finally figures out what (who) really happened and sends the old bats on their way. Charles and Kate get back together and it ends happily. Linda
