More twists and turns than a kaleidoscope; and painting a picture about as clear. I don’t think I was expecting anything in particular out of this book , yet it still managed to surprise me with every page turn. Nothing in Fiona’s life is quite what she (or I) thought it was and, as more bombshell were revealed in the book, the less of a grasp I realized I had on it. I have no idea where this story is going to take us next. There are so many tantalizing threads that have been laid out before us that I cannot wait to see what’s at their ends. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

I'm not sure how the authors manage to keep you on your toes through a single book sometimes but this duo manages through several books. Just about the time you think you see where the story is going, there is an abrupt shift and everything looks different. It's impossible to distinguish the good guys from the bad guys from the innocent bystanders (and no one is innocent). Fast paced, edge of your seat story that will keep you guessing. Read book 1 first - it's necessary to the story. Plan on a one-sitting read.

Who do you trust when everyone has secrets? I mean everyone has a secret, everyone is doing dirt, and some are just filthy. It makes me wonder is anyone worth redeeming in this book. I have to say that I really enjoy the authors' writing style. They really know how to tell a story and have you hating someone one minute and rethinking that feeling the next. This second book continues the build up and leaves more questions than answers. I'm not sure about Alex, really want to like him but not sure about trusting him. The dance between Alex and Fiona continues and neither is ready to admit the obvious. I was shaking my head at Fiona's actions in this book. Her clueless and dare I say at times foolishness kills me, but then she flashes real intelligence and gives me a little hope for her part in this story. Jack is still pure evil, but flashed just a bit of actual humanity here in relation to a most unexpected prompt. The story is intriguing and frustrating and left me ready to see what happens next. I recommend starting with book one and diving into this craziness from the beginning.
