About this ebook

Life was never boring, but, for Axel, things kick up a notch when he helps in an underwater rescue of a downed submarine that’s low on oxygen. What they find is nothing like what they expected. All the crew but one was dead—as in shot to death. The last remaining crew member was alive but in rough shape. What the hell happened here?

Allee woke up in the hospital and barely remembers how she got here. But a fuzzy memory only compounds the horror when the investigation ranks her as their number one suspect in the nightmare that won’t quit.

As the investigation takes a darker turn, so does her life, as someone decides a dead patsy is better than one who can talk …

Intrigue! Axel and Masons crew are rescuing a sub and its crew. Only one member is alive. Ally. She's the only one alive so she has to be responsible for the sabotage of the sub, right? The military wants to close this up quick. Ally is bad shape, in the hospital and Axel is guarding her... things go awry fast. This was a quick read that had some twists and turns which I always appreciate. I wanted to smack that General, and I could see how things could be turned around. This can completely be read as a stand a lone. Thank you for the arc, for the opportunity to read, enjoy and to see Mason again. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. This book is a fast read in the SEALs of Honor world. Axel teams up with Mason to get to a downed sub. They haven't heard anything from anyone on the sub for several hours. The sub was on a test cruise when things went awry. Ally is the only female on the sub. She is the IT expert and she is found with several injuries. One is a bullet wound so severe that it broke her femur. The search is on to figure out the who, what and why behind the killing of all the men on the sub. I did enjoy the dual POV format that the book is written in. But like several of the female protagonists, this one was way to whiny for my liking. She is constantly glaring, demanding to be released from the hospital and really just being a sulky child to me. I just really didn't see a connection between these two. There were some sexy scenes so I would not recommend this to anyone under the age of 18.

This one kicks off with intrigue, danger and mystery right from the get go and you are trying to work out who is behind the deaths in the sub as well as why and what could Ally have to do with it. Ally's drive to know why she is being targeted and the way she is treated by the Military has you wanting to make Axel work harder to find out what's going on, throw in the the potential link from Ally's past and how Axel wants to protect her and you get one hell of a read! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
