This series is my ultimate favorite series I've ever come across. S.m Reine, is also one of my top 2 favorite authors because of her work on The Descent Series&The Ascension Series and her ability to connect all of her other series together whether you started anywhere. But you really should start at the beginning. I read books like water. I can read a good book in 2 hours flat and keep reading and I'm usually pretty good at predictions and she kept me guessing and wondering,That's not easy, Mindblowing!

I got this as a low-cost loss leader from Google Books. It shows as the first in a series, but I think(hope?) that it's actually a continuation of an earlier works, because there is so much info that a new reader just has to accept with no explanation, following its own twisted path down the Biblical mythos. For example: - God & Adam are the same being, who went crazy and has since died. - Lillith, the First Demon, who I think is dead too. - Erica(protagonist), dead human exorcist returned from Hell as a demon. Also somehow absorbed Eve's(Adam's wife, aka the First Angel) soul, and may have also killed God? (None of these events are explained.) Clear as mud? I thought so too. *Special note about chaper 27* Many things suddenly (and inexplicably) change here. It's almost like this was written for a different version of the same series, where characters had made different life choices?

This is an amazing book. But in all honesty I almost gave up reading it because it was kinda hard to follow sometimes in the beginning. Other than a few confusing things in it, very good read.
