About this ebook

From New York Times Bestselling author, Sawyer Bennett, comes a SEXY new stand alone romance…

When you're a rock god, fame and fortune are your two best friends, but they can be fickle bed mates. It seems everyone wants a piece of me. I'm being sued, pressured to sign contracts, and fending off rabid women who want to steal my virtue. Just kidding on that one. We all know I don't have much virtue left.

That's why I need Emma Peterson. The sharp-as-a-tack and sexy-as-sin lawyer saved my ass before and I know she can do it again. The only problem is that sweet, prim and totally straight-laced Emma doesn't want anything to do with me. Not professionally, and certainly not personally.

But c'mon. Everyone wants me, and even though it would take a crow bar of epic proportions to get her to spread those sexy legs for me, all I want is her mind. I swear. Her beautiful, brilliant mind to make sense of my crazy world. Good thing I have something up my sleeve to get her to say “yes”. Some might call it blackmail. I call it something else.

Looks like Emma Peterson just became my biggest defender. If only I can resist wanting to screw my attorney six ways to Sunday.

*Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll is a sexy stand alone and can be read independent of the other Legal Affairs books.

There is something about Evan Scott that will make you fall in love with him from the start. It is not just that he is a Rock Star with a sexy voice, it is not just that body you want for feel up, it's also his sweet demeanour that when he sees Emma Peterson turns so so sexy! Evan has made it big, releasing his first solo indie cd and now has some past band members wanting a piece of the action, even from above. So now he needs some legal advice to clear these matters up and to also scrutinise through the many record label deals that are swamping him. Emma is the said lawyer to help Evan, who can't get her out of his mind. These two opposites must go on tour, and work together over the next month. Then Emma is free to go to her dream job, and Evan the rest of the tour. But what transpires in that month will have you enthralled and fascinated to see if they can not only do it, but live with her massive dog on a tour bus. I just love everything Sawyer writes. She has the knack for humor and angst and playfulness between the characters that doesn't go over board. Evan is confident in his music, but still have a lot to learn, which was refreshing. Emma was a prim and proper woman, just trying to do her job without getting distracted, but much to her delight, learnt a lot from Evan. The dual POV is always a favourite of mine, I love knowing what they are both thinking. Even the other characters were adorable - Red in particular. Absolutely recommend this book.

Emma Peterson likes her quiet life well enough, but the one thing she wishes she could change is her current job. She loves being a lawyer, but she's not happy doing the things being asked of her as an associate at the firm where her father is a partner. When her boss, Midge, calls her in and gives her a special assignment, she can't fathom why she would be the one being assigned to representing one of the hottest new rock stars to hit the charts in some time. Evan Scott has made a huge splash as a one of the hottest new solo artists, but when he is suddenly in the position where he could be facing major legal issues, he starts to wonder where his life is going to go next. When Emma shows up at the police station to represent him, he's grateful for her assistance, but more than that, he's completely intrigued by the plain, reserved lawyer. Evan is getting ready to go on our and he decides he needs someone who can handle publicity and contracts, so he makes Emma an offer that she doesn't refuse. She's going to go on tour with him and not only does this give him an edge where his business affairs are concerned, Evan will have the opportunity to explore the woman who has caught his eye. The chemistry between Evan and Emma is evident and as they spend more time together and Evan is able to pull Emma out of her shell more and more things ignite in a way that neither of them expected. Will Emma be able to adjust to live on the road and trust that Evan really wants to be with her even though he could have anyone he wants? And, will Evan be able to avoid the pitfalls of his new lifestyle and people that might not have his best interests in mind? Sawyer Bennett has done a fantastic job creating a set of characters you want to root for. Not only the main characters, but he supporting characters as well. I enjoyed taking a trip into the world of rock and roll and it was definitely worth the adventure! *ARC received from NetGalley and the author in exchange for an honest review**

Emma Peterson's life is in a rut. She is working at Knight & Payne as a lawyer but is not enjoying her work. Her dad, a partner in the firm, got her the job so she doesn't want to disappoint him, plus she is scared as hell of her boss, Midge Payne. Imagine her surprise when Midge calls her into her office to assign her a new case...for Evan Scott, indie rock god, who also happens to be her nephew! The first meeting between Emma and Evan was awesome. Smart mouthed Evan was able to rile up sweet, quiet, reserved Emma....he just knew she had some hidden passion looking to be unfurled. When Evan is in need of a lawyer again, he decides he wants Emma to be that lawyer. He convinces her to come on tour with him for 30 days to work while they are on the road. This time was great. I just loved how they played each other and how Evan eventually wore her down. I really enjoyed how they each brought out the best in each other. Just as their lives were progressing in such a great direction...BOOM! A major roadblock! I really enjoyed the path these two had to take to get back together and their happy ending was great! Evan was a great guy, even though he is a rock star, he was so genuine and down to earth. Emma was very likeable and just in need of direction in her life which she finally found in Evan. Overall, I really enjoyed this story! Great read!
