Judge a person, not by the mistakes made, but the lessons learned from them. Erika Wilde, has created a world where there is no black and white, only shades of grey. People have an agenda, hearts get broken and secrets abound. The Reliance Group may be unorthodox but they know how to get the job done. Sean O'Brien is a bad boy. He toes the line between con - artist and good guy, but hasn't quite figured out where he belongs. TRG saved him from his former life only to set him on a course that will have him facing his past in an up close and personal way. Zoe Russo is a woman with a plan. Find a place to launch her business and make it a success. Turning her dream into a reality has been anything but easy, then Sean walks into her life. Complicated, just became a whole lot worse. Let the explosives begin. Take a Chance is full of complexities. Ranging from a morality tale, to a redemption story and lead by an electromagnetic force of attraction, Ms. Wilde takes readers on an emotionally charged journey of healing that makes for a bumpy ride, but a worthy opponent.

Erika Wilde wrote a wonderful hot bad boy-turns-good romance with Take a Chance, the second book in her Vegas Heat trilogy. This book is about redemption and absolving one’s self for past mistakes. Sean is an ex-con turned Onyx Casino bartender with a membership in the Reliance Group. They are looking for the man who lied and put Sean's father in prison years ago and seems to have embezzled from his company in a Ponzi scam. Zoe is the con artist's daughter. She works with Sean to locate her dad. There is definitely a lot of chemistry between the two of them. There is also a second chance, secondary romance that occurs between Zoe’s best friend, rock star Jessica Morgan and Vegas nightclub manager Noah. I loved reading Take a Chance. This book, a romantic suspense, is full of emotion; there is sadness, desire, fear, love and anxiety. Ms. Wilde wrote an excellent story capturing at least this reader in the web of intrigue in this story. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I am looking forward to reading the next story in this trilogy, Last Chance. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
