Theodor Storm (14. 9. 1817 Husum – 4. 7. 1888 Hademarschen, Holstein) ist durch stimmungsstarke Lyrik und Novellen hervorgetreten. Sein Werk ist dem Realismus zuzuordnen, prägend sind Natur- und Gefühlsschilderungen, eine zunehmende Rolle spielen im Lauf des Schaffens gesellschaftliche und psychologische Konfliktsituationen, auch in historischen Zusammenhängen.
