I absolutely loved Cherishing Happily Ever After by Elena Aitken; it is an incredible love at first sight love story. It is the ninth book in her Ever After series. Cherishing Happily Ever After is only the second book that I have read by Elena Aitken and am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. I was pleased that each book is a standalone and that I did not have to have read the other books in her series to enjoy Cherishing Happily Ever After. Elena Aitken showed that she is an amazing storyteller. I could not put Cherishing Happily Ever After down and I loved every page. Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families and friends, who always support one another? I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main character. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Cherishing Happily Ever After is a sexy single dad love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Cherishing Happily Ever After is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, Elena Aitken did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Cherishing Happily Ever After is the story of Stephanie Starz, celebrity and movie star and Travis Bishop, craftsman. Stephanie hired Travis to restore all the cabins at Lynx Creek, the property she purchased in Glacier Falls. Stephanie feels sparks between the two of them, but doesn’t pursue anything because she does not feel that Travis is interested in her. A severe rainstorm strikes Glacier Falls, and Travis makes it back to Lynx Creek before the bridge washes away. He wanted to make sure that he got back to Lynx Creek, because he did not want Stephanie to be alone during the storm. As Stephanie, Travis and his dog, Tinker Bell, (I love Tink) are stranded in Stephanie’s cabin, things change between them. Travis and Stephanie shares secrets about their pasts with one another, something that neither one of them had done before. Stephanie shares how her past relationships have made her feel. An unexpected plot twist changes everything between them. I loved that Cherishing Happily Ever After is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Stephanie and Travis are facing that need to be resolved. I love how the storylines get so beautifully resolved. I love how Travis remembers a conversation with Stephanie about romance movies and how he used that as his motivation to let Stephanie know his true feelings for her, in the biggest way possible, with a grand gesture. I love that Stephanie and Travis’s “just friends” relationship, turned into so much more. I loved the ending of the story; it was my favorite part. As always, I loved the epilogue and how it went above and beyond the happily ever after. Cherishing Happily Ever After is filled with poignant and bittersweet moments as well as plot twists. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Cherishing Happily Ever After, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the characters especially their teasing that made me laugh. I loved all the characters in the Ever After series and am looking forward to reading the other books in the series, so I can catch up with all the other characters and read their stories. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Cherishing Happily Ever After. Cherishing Happily Ever After is the last book in the Ever After series, so this book is sort of bittersweet for me. I’ve just discovered Elena Aitken and her Ever After series and it is now over. This last book in the series, Cherishing Happily Ever After was a beautifully written farewell to all the characters.

Cherishing Happily Ever After by Elena Aitken, book nine in her Ever After series, is an amazing story featuring movie star Stephanie Starz and local carpenter/handyman Travis Bishop. This story allows us to see Stephanie the real woman rather than Stephanie Starz, the glamorous film star, and we see Travis able to move away from his quite lonely life of never letting anyone get too close to him. As a young man he had a difficult life, which made him introverted and untrusting of others. Yet, their attraction was there for everyone else to see; they were in denial of its existence. A protective streak, a freak storm, a puppy named “Tink”, a washed-out bridge, a possible flood , and an invasion of paparazzi made for an amazing adventure; creating a delightful very happy ever after for them. Ms. Aitken wrote a wonderful and amazing story, filled with magnetic attraction, sizzling chemistry, clever banter, and endearing characters that is not to be missed. I totally enjoyed and highly recommend Cherishing Happily Ever After to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This latest installment of the Ever After series felt a little like an end but also sort of open ended for more Glacier Falls residents to get a HEA. This town and the people who live there are pretty special. I didn’t think Stephanie and Travis would ever get on the same page but their story was so sweet and hopeful that I could barely handle it. This series has been so full of love and hope that I hope I get to visit.
