This is the 5th book in this series, I have not read the first 4 and had no problem with this book. Standalone with no cliffhangers. First I loved that the shifter was blindfolded during the speed date, it made them us their senses. I do think the book felt rushed at times but that is a side effect of a short story sometimes. Buzz is a bee, but a Big tattooed man and funny. He finds himself in a bad situation and could lose his mate before he fully claims her and his freedom. Lia is a human artifacts researcher, shy, and deaf. I loved that she wasn't perfect but still bad a$$ in the end. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Zoey in the future.
