Finally! It's taken five volumes to get here, but finally the momentum that was only teased at for the first four volumes has actually arrived, and the end of the story feels like an achievable goal rather than a carrot stuck lazily at the end of a stick. The same problems that have plagued this series from the beginning are still here, but they're much improved this time around. This is the first time in five volumes that I'm looking forward to starting the next book. I'm hopeful the authors might pull off the landing.

This series keeps you intrigued and trying to figure out what will happen next. Another killing but this time things are different. Jake and Jo know they have a copycat killer and two more people on the hangman's list. I can not wait for the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I’m still not sure whether or not I want to see The Hangman caught before he’s completed his mission. Though his threats against Jo make it a little easier to choose. Jake Thomas is a man caught in the middle of a mess that just keeps getting bigger, with no easy way through. I both love and hate when a book leaves me speechless at the end of it. It means that I was so caught up in the story that I’m still processing, but it also means that I don’t know how to explain what the story has just put me through. I have no idea what’s going to come next in this series and I can’t wait to see what does. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
