This entire series is made about mostly women who have major hang-ups about relationships while the guys seem to be relatively stable and the rock. It gets boring after awhile, especially since the writing seems rushed to get the characters over their huge issues over a few chapters just to get the main couple of concern together. And yes, I did read a few, mostly because they are free, but also because I hoped the author would grow and be less formulaic. No such luck

After reading and enjoying Playing with Pleasure it really was a no brainer to pick up the next in the series when it became available and I found Playing with Seduction to be just as engaging, fun, sexy and well written as it’s predecessor. The previous book was about second chances, and while this one has a similar theme it is also about timing and learning that even the most well thought out plans don’t always work out they way we want them to. I liked Jase from the moment we meet him and as the book progressed I decided I wanted my own Jase. He’s sweet, charming, intelligent and when he decides to go all hot and sexy alpha male, look out because you won’t want to say no. His upbringing and why he chose to enter the military was quite interesting, and a little heartbreaking, but gives great insight into what motivates him, as well as why he has made, and is making, the choices he has. Kendall was one of those characters that I liked and understood why she was the way she was. She’s sweet, hardworking and loyal to those who are her friends. She’s built up her own business and is enjoying that aspect of her life, but she was hurt badly by her ex and now that she’s worked through that pain and moved on she has a “plan” as to how the rest of her life will play out. I liked the way Kendall and Jase’s relationship progressed, and give total kudo’s to how Jase upped his game to get his woman because it was genius and smokin’ hot, and as the story moves along we get to see Kendall become more comfortable in her own skin, which Jase definitely helps with. I also liked the way that the author handled the age issue. There were a few ways that it could have been dealt with, but the path that was taken showed how mature they both were and kept things from getting overly dramatic. The Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a fun, quick, need to take a cold shower read, this is one is for you! ~ ARC provided by Rock Star PR in exchange for an honest review ~

It's a very quick, steamy read. The characters were very likable, so it's easy to forgive the predictable plot. I just wish the story was a little longer, because I enjoyed the writing style & the character's chemistry together.
