Faith Hunter in her usual excellent form, and we see a slight move in focus in this book, concentrating more on the witches than the fangheads (oops, sorry, mithrans). Interesting final few paragraphs, too. I only started reading these books about 18 months ago, as I'm generally not a fan of 1st person fiction, but Hunter's character-building and development, plus the action-packed storylines are fairly addictive and this series shows no signs of getting stale yet. The wait for the next book will be too long.
