Namaku Hafadhatul Karim, sekarang berusia lima belas tahun, terhitung sejak aku dilahirkan oleh ibu di dunia yang kita tempati ini, tepatnya pada 15 Agustus 1995. Aku sangat bersyukur karena telah terlahir di dunia, sehingga mampu membagikan kisah ini padamu. Dan ditambah lagi aku seorang manusia, dan kata orang-orang, manusia adalah makhluk yang sempurna, walaupun aku tak mengetahuinya.
Aku anak tunggal dari ibu dan bapakku. Namun menjelang usia lima belas tahun, tepatnya enam hari sebelum hari ulang tahunku, kehidupanku serasa telah berubah.

David Maulana Muhammad. Pernah sekolah di MI Islamiyah Bendet, pernah sekolah di SMP A. Wahid Hasyim Tebuireng, pernah sekolah di MAN 1 Jombang, pernah kuliah di UM, pernah kuliah PPG di UNIPMA. Sekarang mengajar di SMP A. Wahid Hasyim Tebuireng dan Madrasah Aliyah Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng.
