About this ebook

The conflict between idealistic and zeroidealistic had always been a much favoured topic since ages. Only the ideals have changed, the conflict has remained forever. The conflict in the ideals presented in ‘Ulka` represent the first half of the 20th century. Tara is the daughter of Bhausaheb, he has remarried. He is idealistic. Tara is rebellious, right from her birth. Tara is Bhausaheb`s meteor ulka. He is a poor teacher and society has boycotted him. While growing, Tara witnesses the good and bad things around her. She sees the staunch idealism of Bhausaheb and Chandrakant. She also notices the fraudulent nature of people around her. Her aunt, Manikrao, Indu, Baburao, most of those around her compromise with many things for a smooth living. They pull each others legs. They do not wish any thing good for others...
