I can't get enough of Greenwood's amazing creativity and storytelling. Her characters are always fresh and real (even though they're often Gods or supernaturals😉). Right from the start I'm transported into the tale and transfixed by the ease of the dialog and banter between characters. Chiguo and Mei have several moments that had me laughing to myself, and one laughing out loud moment! They are simply wonderful together, and while it would be nice if it could last, they're aware it's not possible. (Awww☹️). What happens, though, when they meet again... this time under COMPLETELY different circumstances?! This is a bit of a frantic, wild ride, but atonal blast! Have fun. Mei and Chiguo's story is a very quick 30 -45 minute read . Great for a lunch break . It’s an oriental gods based story that I was unfamiliar with, but that didn’t make it any less enjoyable to read. They had the same fears as we all do, and dealt with them as best they could to get to their happily ever after. Sweet, sexy tale with no backstory needed. 4✨’s. Lighthearted Musical Romance. I like how Jinx dating app gives paranormals a way to connect. Book 5 involves international pop star Mimi and a music god Chiguo having a conversation because of loneliness. The fact they meet and yet hold their identity's secret is amusing. Only secrets reveal themselves over time. Royal Heavenly King & Music god Chiguo finds himself inspired by xian Mei. Love it!.
