Lina is a street urchin in a city, eking out a life and getting into hot water at every turn. Trent and her butterfly Flitter keep trying to steer her into the right direction. The characters and storyline are well done, with great twists from the original that work nicely. The flow of the story grabs you easily as she goes from one mess to the other. Kidnapping and forced marriage was interesting. Well done ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

She grew up on the streets in a town that was ruled by the Fae and was sometimes accused of being one herself because of her small size. One day the Prince of Fairies finds her and gives her a butterfly to watch over her. A few days later, she is kidnapped and taken to a strange home. That's just the beginning of her adventures. I don't want to spoil the story, but if you know the story of Thumbelina then you will know that she goes through a few adventures before finding out the truth as to who she is and who she is meant to be. This story was interesting and held my attention. I don't know the original story very well, but I enjoyed this version. What fantastic story. It is a quick read but it is extremely intriguing. I loved Lena and she seems to easily get out of trouble. She has a very sweet and caring personality that is felt throughout the story. The story are well written and the characters throughout the story are well developed. The descriptions are vivid and they are easy to be pictured. This is definitely a fun read and very much worth reading.
