About this ebook

Discover this paranormal adventure romance based on Egyptian mythology following the goddess Hathor as she tries to convince other gods to join their cause against the rising chaos of Seth, all while managing her growing feelings for Amun.

Searching for gods isn't easy, especially when they don't want to be found.

A quiet life is what Hathor deserves now that less people remember her name. But when another goddess enlists her to the fight against spreading chaos, she finds herself out in the world for the first time in thousands of years.

Finding the other gods turns out to be the least of her worries. Somehow, she has to convince them to actually help her, and that's not as easy as she'd hoped.

I have always loved Laura Greenwood's books. I didn't know if I'd like this one since it is about God's I’m not familiar with, but I absolutely enjoyed every bit of the story. The explanation Laura gave at the beginning of the book explained a lot and made the story easier to understand. I 100% enjoyed how all the characters flowed together and had a purpose. The fact that they were roaming around modern world was intriguing as most people wouldn't think the world would be something a God would live in. The descriptions of the temples were amazing. I was vividly able to picture them in my head and boy were they gorgeous. Once I read the end of the book, I just couldn't believe what I was reading. Laura outdid herself with that major twist of knowledge. I wouldn't have suspected that happening at all. I give this book a 5/5 stars and highly recommend this book to anyone who loves slight adventures as well as twists. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!.

What an interesting story! Hathor debuts with a coerced task from Ma’at. It seems to be Ma’at status quo for securing allegiance with other gods. We learn the behind the scenes into her thoughts and what her feelings bout some of the aspects she embodies. Very interesting. Her mission to secure four gods to Team Ma’at had led to one major plot twist. The fact that Hathor is starting to feel affection and not just lust with Amun proves quite a dilemma when she learns something about her crush.

This was an interesting start to Hathor’s journey. I enjoyed it, but I wasn’t caught up in the story the way I have been with some of the others. Perhaps it’s because this represents the opening scenes in the part she’s meant to play in the battle against Chaos and there will be more impactful moments to come. The little bit of a cliffhanger this closes on has definitely left me wanting to know more. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
